Adam Lambert’s debut album, “For Your Entertainment,” didn’t quite live up to the expectations of his American Idol fans who expected more of a rock approach from Lambert. His song, “For Your Entertainment,” portrays a side of Lambert that wasn’t shown on American Idol: the glam god. These explicit lyrics and pop/dance themes with heavy beats and dark synth easily illustrates where Lambert wants to take his musical career, but when songs like, “Pick U Up,” and “If I Had You,” were released with the album, they demonstrated the passionate, softer version of the Lambert that fans have rarely heard. Some songs could simply be comparable to the infamous Lady Gaga while the others, simplistic pop ballads, are analogous to The All-American Rejects. His stunning vocals, however, were not a surprise considering his singing experience prior to entering the music industry and signing with RCA Records. Some songs on Adam Lambert’s new album are mediocre, while others are definitely worth the money.
