On Wednesday February 10, during fifth hour lunch, six confirmed fights erupted but were diffused by security, administration, and staff by intervening and setting temporary lock down. Beyond all the gossiping and rumors going around Gilbert High, respect goes out to the administration and staff who got in the mix, stopped the students and broke up the fights.
After the administration closed lunch, they sent all students in 5th hour lunch to go to their 6th hour class and issued a temporary lock down. While everyone was in lock down, the security, administration, and staff took action and rushed in to apprehend the students causing the scene. Head of security Loui Ortiz, assistant principal Doug Daley, principal Dr. Charles Santa Cruz, and Coach Joelyn Boone restrained the students and settled the uproar. And even though some students of Gilbert High boast about the fights in an attempt to get the admiration of fellow students, students don’t realize that fights are hard to stop and are very dangerous. They might seem cool, but really it’s a hazard to the safety of the students and a disruption to the educational environment. All in all, thanks to the heroic actions performed from the staff the school was safe, and a potentially worse situation was prevented.

Great story! Thanks to Mr. Louis and the staff for stopping this stuff on campus.
